Well..... I found a Super M....$1000 with fair rubber....What are the differences between an "M" and "Super M". This one was made in Rock Island. Sure is bigger than my VAC.

There were changes made to M and SM tractors durring production. Just taking from the late M made to the early SM most of the changes on SM were a 1/8 inch bigger engine cylinder bore, 2,3,4 and reverse gear ratio change along with bigger diametter counter shaft where those gears press on, Carburator choke lever moved to right side of carb and number change for carb.Grill emblem and mount holes. A 3 core radiator may have started with first SM or little earlier or later, not sure on that. From earlier M to later SM there's more Changes.

Wayne...I believe the battery box was under the seat on the Stage II Super M. On the Stage I SM models, it was behind the engine. I think I'm correct. I have a Stage II.

The super M has a bigger engine and a faster 4th gear.
