Super A carb kit

By the way - how's the pheasent crop look out your way??

They sold me what I needed..not all that other stuff that may be great to install, but so rarely needed.

Now, there is an outfit in Cynthiana, Ky. called Marshall's....they advertise on ebay, that sells a COMPLETE kit and for less than what I paid at the local IH dealer for a needle and seat&gaskets. I have bought from Marshall's before and their stuff is top drawer. There is this misconception that unless something comes in a black and yellow plastic envelope marked CaseIH it is substandard. That just ain't so! If we still had a NAPA here, I would have went there in the first place. Their stuff is great and not in a CaseIH package! But for what it is worth, the hydraulic rebuild kit I got from Marshall's was indeed in a CaseIH package. Just for the record, I do not know any of the folks at Marshall's. They are located over 100 miles from me here in KY. Their service and prices are great and they even return phone calls.

They have about 3X the parts you need anyway....but whatever.

A float....floats or it sinks. Butterfly's..why change them? Worn shafts? Hell, my shaft is worn too, but it still works:). Air screw? Unless it's been used to pick boogers and splinters, a little steel wool will clean them up.

I am satisfied you know more than I do on these Farmall's. But, for the most part, these carbs just get gunked up and the needle valve starts leaking. Clean the carb thoroughly..as in squeaky clean, put in a new needle and seat, and you should be good to go. HOWEVER, some folks insist on total restoration, just short of a entirely new unit. That's fine. Don't think it's necessary, but okay with me.
