The base of a C fender is designed to clamp around a hexagonal axle housing, while the H/M fender is meant to bolt into holes on the top of an axle housing, right?

Normally, you add extension plates and spacers to move the fenders out closer to the tires and up, so it should be a simple matter of getting a piece of flat steel of the appropriate size and drilling holes in the appropriate places.

But no, they don't make anything like that.

While the "fan" portion seems the same the mount and way they mount are different. The H/M has a flat mount with four bolts. These match up to holes in the axle to move the fender in or out. The C is octagonal with a corresponding U-bolt to fit the axle. Loosening the U-bolt and sliding on the axle housing adust.

I might be wrong, but from what I remember of my H, that fender would only fit on it or an M. It was all one piece. I'm not saying that you couldn't adapt the C fender to work by fabricating some type of bracket or cutting it and making the flange that bolts onto the axle and welding.

I would just look for a pair that came off an H or M.
