I have seen the gas tanks sell on eBay for as much as $100, but that is rare, and lately they don't seem to bring much more than about $30. The governor, if it is really good and has almost no wear, should bring about $200, but you will be lucky if you find someone who is willing to pay more than $50. Don't know what style the seat is, if it is the old pipe frame style, it shpuld bring over $100, but I had one of those listed awhile back and couldn't get even one bid, I still have it.Shipping is a big problem on those awkward items, it's difficult to find a box they will fit in. The governor would not be a problem. I would suggest that you list them in the auction classifieds on YT, put a reserve on them for what you think they are worth, and go from there. Just state in the ad that the items are to picked up, that you will not ship them. It is free to place an ad on YT.

Sell it on Ebay (they pay shipping)
Min reserve on gastank 100$
Min on Governor 50$
Min on seat (depends on mechanical parts condition) 50$ However the reality is some stuff can take on a bidwar of its own making, good luck.
My opinion JimN

Not that much to it.

Before you begin, write out an ad. Come up with a clear informative title: Farmall H Gas Tank, for example. The category will take you a bit of time to find, but it is antique tractors under Business and Industrial.

Don't use the reserve unless you just can't stand the thought of someone getting a bargain. Most of the time, things sell for a fair price. Every once in a while you get a steal, but usually because people post the wrong category.

Pay attention to the time you list. If you list it in the middle of the night, the auction will end in the middle of the night and guess what, it will go cheaply. Think coast to coast....9 am EST is 6:00 am PST.....etc.

Set a low starting price: why? because more people will get interested and you will get a better price.

Accept a money order or check, but state you will hold the check until it clears.

Shipping is actual. Fedex ground is really reasonable these days for large items.

Send an email to you buyer soon after the auction closes figuring the total with shipping.

It is work, but a great way to get rid of extra parts.

Well, I think that the $100.00 reserve on the fuel tank is high, unless it is very nice, and I mean nice, the governer and seat really need to be seen, before a price is guesstimated. ebay can be a real learning experience, shipping can be a chore, non paying bidders a headache, but things do sell most of the time for good money. All of this B.S. and knowledge from a Highland County Ohio Native. Former Power Seller on ebay, now just messing around. R.B.F., feel free to contact me, email is open.
