I am just curious as to how meany are working on restoring any tractors this summer and what they are? I just put the finishing touches on my late 1939 F-20 and now am really getting into my 1939 M sn 529 I got just about all my used parts gathered and am getting ready to go through the transmition and get it ready to paint. Thinking it will get its paint job next year though. Paul

Took on a paint job for a 300U and in trade am getting a 350 rowcrop. it has a stuck engine due to lack of raincap....but have heard many success stories on here about getting them unstuck. She ran fine before sitting and getting rained "in".
going to save her from the abuse!!

Just got my first tractor, a '42 H, in pretty bad shape. Bought from a nice old guy on this site, he said he thought it had a stuck valve. Helluva bang in the motor. Pulled the head and the pan, found a spun rod bearing on #3. As I am probably the poorest person here, I'm trying to buck the odds and just put a new rod and bearing on that cylinder to get her going again. Joe's Farmall Parts really helped me out and were quite a bit less than The Red Tractor place. Just praying that when I get it back together that knock is gone. Gonna cry if it's a main. I know, I know, everyone had told me I should pull the crank, have it measured and ground if need be, and the head magnafluxed, and all the things I wish I could afford. At this point I just want to get her running smoothly enough to sell and get an M. Saw pictures from the auction in Minnesota last week, never seen so many beautiful tractors in one place. If Ida won the lotto that day, I woulda bought the whole collection!

I'm in the middle of finishing up the old H, just started W-4 rebuild, got the motor done, but it has a long way to go..and then of course there is long term projects waiting like my '46 dodge pickup...(not enough funds)

Working a little on the SMTA, dad's old 450D and 350D as well as a JD50 I got last year. Getting ready to go to Nashville and get the 300U and a front end for the JD50.
Other than that...just setting on my thumbs.....

Trying to fix a cracked block on my 37 F-12. Had a 39 F-14 in the shop for 4 years, might just get some of those inexpensive (lol) 40" tires for it this year. Think I will have the F-14 professionally painted. Then I got the Oliver 88 that was dad's, need to get it in and put an engine kit in it and straighten the tin fix the oil leaks and get it painted.
Got an MM RTI that a friend gave me. Need to get the engine unstuck, oil leaks fixed and painted. It has really good tires on it. Other than that, I'm free to help anyone else which reminds me I've got the neighbors model D Gibson that needs some work.

I am going to try to finish my 9 year restoration project on my 47 MD Did the engine one year then transmission the next. Finally at the point where all that is left to do is splash some paint on it and then maybe tackle my 560 Farmall.

I am restoring an F-12 and i am at the sandblasting phase. and i am looking at getting another tractor, maybe a 340.

We have four to hopefully complete this summer. Two '49 H's, a 330U & a 340U Diesel. This is probably enough to last till next summer.

I am working on several projects at the same time...that way if I get stuck on one....I can change on to somthing completly differnt.....I am working on a "51 FARMALL M --- A "49 Allis G --- A JOHN DEER LA --- And er-doing some work on my "47 FARMALL H..... I am also building a V8 trike .....other than that I dont have any thing to do.....OH I just bough a 682 red CUB CADET..... Don

Working on an F30 with a Sheppard diesel engine. Drug it out of a fencerow, and it was underwater in the flood of '93 along the Mississippi River. Slow going, but not many of em around.

I am working on two projects this summer at the same time, a 1942 H and a 1927 regular. I am at the engine rebuild stage on both of them. I am really dreaming about the paint job that I see on yours...great work. I am hoping that I do not get the parts mixed up and come up with the Johnny Cash model :-) Shop is full and have pices of about 6 tractors scattered everywhere.

Again...a wonderful paint job. I need lessons.

Rebuilding the transmission on my 1941 B. Started to have a noise in the tranny when it was out of gear and with the top shaft spinning. The oiler gear appears to be worn so I am replacing it and the bearings.
This is a family heirloom tractor as my grandfather purchased it new in March of 1941. The front pully is loose on the crank so that is next after the tranny is back together. I will paint it after repair and want to take it on tractor cruises this fall.

I am now 95% completed on my 1963 IH Farmall 140. This tractor and I are the same age and we grew up working together on our family farm. I bought it from my retired Father last year and recently began cleaning it up, repainting, new tires and decals. Anything that is broken or bent from 42 years of farm work is being repaired. This tractor was barn kept, runs great and starts right up and is ready to go to work every day in any weather. Perfect for small town parades or seasonal hay rides.

Sadly, I'll soon be parting ways with my old friend, if the price is right. I'll post a picture when completed.

That would be hard to let go of. The F-20 I have has meany parts I gathered form my grandfather that cant be replace and I hope I will never have to see go and my M was the last tractor that my other grandfather purchaced. He never had it running but had asked a couple of times if I could help but it was during the fall and couldnt get away from field work then he went to the nurseing home before I could. these to will be a good reminder to me of my grandfathers

I'm working on a 1941 Farmall B, total rebuild and restoration. It should be done by August. We're going through entire tractor, should be a great quality restoration. Also, doing a "farmer" resoration on my dad's M.

Last week on the WMT TRACTORCADE we stopped at the JOHN DEERE place in KEYSTONE for a 15min break and i sold my fresh finished B FARMALL while we were there so now just will have to do another one. It just goes on and on.

Yessir...Working on a 54 Super C, 53 Super H and 53 Super M. Hopefully one will be completely restored by summer's end and the other two will be ready by next summer. Then it's time to tackle a 350U that needs to be completely gone over.

Got the remaining parts I needed at RPR, now all I need to do is get motivated and finish. I call it my Johnny Cash Tractor because I am building it one piece at a time. Hopefully it will end up being a BN with hydraulics, 9 monthes and counting.Good luck with your prodject Paul.

I'm trying to line something up, but just can't connect with the right tractor.

Dunno, thinkin' pretty darned seriously 'bout scratchin' around for an old John Deere 60 or 70. They seem to be running down in my price range. :>)

I'm finishing up on a '44M s/n 86300. I'm hoping to have it running by the weekend. She's got fresh paint, new seals all the way around, rebuilt motor and a redone head. My starter blew up when I tried to crank over the motor so now I need one of them.

I'm working on a 52 H with a M&W 9 speed tranny. Got it partially disasembled from the boneyard for $150. The boneyard didn't know what they had.
It looked terrible when I bought it, but turned out to be in pretty good shape overall. Everything that turns, bumps, grinds, or wiggles has been replaced. Adding a Swartz w/f, and Saginaw 3 point. ken
