Until I figure out why my Super C wont crank over, is it ok to just use jumper cables directly from battery to starter motor. I just need to do a quick job and then I will have time to diagnose the problem. Thanks for any comments, Todd

Be sure there is no gas seepage around because you will set the tractor on fire--like I did two years ago with a lawn tractor LOL

Otherwise there is no problems

I have jumped my "M" like that before, sparks do fly for sure, but it worked!

I've had to do that on several occasions and it works fine.

Just be mindful and take into account ground polarities before making the jumper connections!! Your Super C is probably positive ground, but essentially all modern vehicles, tractors, etc are negatively grounded...

If that's what it takes go for it. It would be a bit of a hassle to do it that way everytime, but you sure won't hurt anything.
