I seem to have a issue with my wiring on the 51 H. In the operators book I have for Farmall H & HV on page 50 it showes the ammeter having 2 wires on it. How ever on my set up I have 3 & 2. I cannot seem to get the charging system to work properly & when the tractor is running the ammeter jumps back & forth from discharge to the neutral position, & my lights will not work. Here is somthing that I did wrong, the battery terminals I had those switched & the lights worked but for the short time that I did have them on the ammeter read from neutral to charge with the tractor running. I switch everything back to the way it is in the book other than the ammeter wires & it is doing the same as I mentioned the first time around. In the book it has a junction block in the wire housing on mine it dose not have one of these. When I got the tractor everything but the lights worked I found that the fuse housing was bad so I replaced it but I wired it so the one wire went from the light switch to the fuse then from the fuse to the plus side of the ammeter & the lights worked. Everything is original on this H but I am stumped on the wireing, it is the original cloth coverd wire so I can not tell by looking at it to see the ID on the wire saying what is what. Is the junction block a genaric or do I have to get an IH junction block, Could one be made. If I installed the block would that solve my issues or could it be my voltage regulator is bad. If some one could help me out on this I would greatly appreciate it. Sorry for the long post, Just wanted to give as much information as possible. Thank you & take care. Ed
