Boyd: I have a 1968 buyers guide and it confirms what muggsw6 is saying. No. 60 was 2 to 4 bpttom and No. 70 was 3 to 6 bottom. I also have a manual for No. 60 and it says 14" or 16" bottoms. I think the 70 was only available in 16" bottoms. the 70 was built with larger clearence both vertical and horizontal for plowing down corn stalks, so it makes sence it would be 16".

The #60 and #70 could be equipped with 14" or 16" bottoms.

Super A That may well be right on early production No. 70 plows in 1962, however by 1968 14" are no longer listed. I'd be almost willing to bet IH didn't sell enough 14" No. 70 plows to be feasable.

I'm pretty sure there was a 2 bottom #60, but not a #70. Would make a real nice plow for ya!
