I am repairing the wireing on my 39 M and had to make a new wire to front and rear lights. I am wondering if they ran a bare wire to these or if they had a covering like the wires running to the Generator? Thanks Paul

The wire going to the rear light originally ran through a flexible metal conduit. It ran down the steering post, went to the left side of the tractor, and then was tucked up under the platform on the left side. The conduit was held up with clamps which were bolted to the platform.

Really don't know. Any I have seen that were original used the metal conduit. Could be the lights were added later?

All the wires had braided covering except for the battery ground (I don't know about it).
