As you can see from the range between Allan and Steven's estimates there's a big spread in the market. I see H's and M's in our state Ag Dept.'s Market Bulletin from $500 for a parts tractor to $5,000 for a tractor show trailer queen. That is one very nice looking H. If it's good mechanically as it is in appearance and if there's a market for hobbyists in your area you should be able to get in the range Steven said.
Good Luck, Wm
PS What do I know? I paid $1800 for an H with a really nice paint job and wound up putting another six or eight in the transmission. Named him "Mr. Haney." He looks Mahvelous!

Hi Allik,

That's one nice H! But, you want a realistic price?

That tractor would fetch $1850 if it indeed has been totally gone thru. Maybe $1900 on a real good day.

Allan

I am thinking about selling it. Realisitcly what are my options. This tractor has been rebuilt and repainted. It is in excellent running condition (besides the gas guzzling LOL)and appearance.

The H will run about 8 hours on a tank of gas at full load. I know that because I used to drive one from about 7 in the morning to noon, then 1-5:30 or so. I would sometimes forget to fill it at noon, it would die at 3-4 in the afternoon. Really quite economical compared to the bigger ones. If you want to put a $4500 price on it, you can try -- depends on the person buying it. But H's are plentiful, and there is simply no way you can get out of it what you put into it. I have a Stage 2 Super H in the same condition. Not for sale, if it was I might ask $3000 for it, don't know if I would get that. Paid $2250 for it (too much, maybe $2500-$3000 in it, I did not keep track.

Restored Farmall H's are worth from $2500 to $3500 depending on the quality of the restoration and options. I have about $4500 in mine and it is only mechanically rebuilt, not cosmetically.

I just bought another 42 H in good running condition needing some cosmetic work for $1500. It has great sentimental value to me as it was my Dad's first tractor that he owned by himself - and he rebuilt the engine in it. My first tractor I owned by myself and rebuilt is my H as well. Now I own both. :o)

It is a 1952 and the x1 makes it a gas burner.

No sarcasm, but it is worth what you can get for it, maybe half what you have in it. Your tractor was built in 1952, IH made nearly 400000 of them, many of which are still running, thus it is not valuable.
