What do you think that tractor is worth? I need to set a low limit for myself (I'm cheap, considering how much I need to spend on restoration) And I won't bid till the very end, provided it hasn't been bid up.

Mike,

I can't tell you what the tractor is worth. Not much in it's present condition. I just happened to notice that it is in your neck of the woods.

Now, I will tell you that a good original wide front end like the one on that tractor will sell for $800 any day of the week.

I'll give you a trike front end if you want it; they are just not very practical in the real world. They bolt on in 5 minutes with four bolts.

My Grandfather owned a narrow front end. So when I think "Farmall", I base it totally off of his tractor, and it's what I'm going for.

Thanks for the offer. If the time comes, I will contact you.

Glad I don't live in the real world :-)

I far prefer a narrow front for brush hogging, mowing and baling square bales. But hten I don't need power steering either.

I registered with Ebay and asked that guy for the serial number (I'm CrashCali)

I also found this H at Chat's tractors. Looks to be in real good mechanical condition, ripe for restoration. It's $100, which is fine. Problem is, it's in IL, I think. And that would cost way too much to get it to California.

HA! Thanks for the find!

Unfortunately, I was looking for the narrow front end. And obviously those rear tires... well, what do I say about those? They certainly are... GIGANTIC!!

Would converting this into a narrow front end be an option? Or is that a ton of work and money? And could I even convert the rear wheels back to stock?

You can pick up a hundred narrow fronts for about 50 bucks apiece. Rear wheels and rims maybe 250. No big deal. The pullers on here are probably giving them away. Quit teasing us with all these posts about your tractor dream, and go get it! BTW if that is a IH wide front, which it appears to be, that is worth about 700 San Miguels. That's an order sailor! You do know the UCMJ don't you? (Uniformed Code of Military Justice ) for you civilians.

HOLY COW for rear tires! I have 12.4x38 on the rear of mine and it will power out pulling a small disc or chisel plow. Will spin out in 1st gear on gravel, but barely.

But I bet those ride nice ;o)

Doggone Allan- wish that was closer to our neck of the woods! But then there'd probably be a bunch of us wanting it...
