Did the os-6 have a muffler or just an exhaust pipe that wrapped around and came out down by the front wheel? The one I have has been altered.Someone cut a hole in the hood an ran the exhaust out the top,and then instaled a muffler.
Would like to get it back like it should be.
Any help greatly appreciated, Don.

Many times the manifold needed to be replaced or just the manifold pipe. If it was a dual fuel model and they got a gasoline manifold with a straight manifold pipe then they probably cut a hole in the hood. On a gasoline manifold you will need to get a 90o elbow and a short nipple to aim the exhaust forward. From here it is muffler shop work to form and bend the pipe for you. If it has a duel fuel manifold on it that it running the exhaust straight up then you will need to fabricate a new adapter that runs it forward.

As for the pipe, I just took the tractor with me to the muffler shop for them to measure and make the pipe at their shop. This way they got it right the first time.

GOOD LUCK

Your local muffler shop can make you a new pipe
with all the bends and the correct size. Since the original pipe isn't available you may need to make a sketch. Even better if you can get someone to come out and do the measuring from the shop. Amazing the way they can bend that pipe.

They are suppose to come out down by the front wheel and not go through the hood. There is just a curved pipe and no muffler. I have bought a couple of orchard tractors and someone had cut through the hood on them too. Must have been easier to cut through the hood back then than find a correct replacement pipe.
