A bent crankshaft on a combine straw walker more than likely came from the operator plugging the combine with straw in the walker area. This puts undue pressure on the walker and will bend the shaft. Sometimes if you are using a straw chopper it will stop the flow of straw and plug up on the walkers. (I have experienced this)Fix it right and then install a detector to warn you if the straw stops flowing thru the combine. If this bent shaft is not corrected more damage can be done to the walker by breaking the mounting brackets from the shaft bearings to the walker.

Good Luck

Probably one of those, ----, where did that corner post come from, while backing. I'll bet it is a bad story some one might tell after a while.
Since you will have to take out anyway you can probably take it to a hydraulic press and eyeball it close enough to run well, they aren't high speed or heavily loaded. You might even be able to do with hammer and anvil. just get it out look it over. If nothing works, hunt up a combine salvage.

The trouble with straightening a walker crank is that if you don't get it perfect, so it "tracks" the other crank EXACTLY, the walkers will gradually be torn apart by the difference in motion tugging on the opposite ends of each walker.
