So far, it sounds like Rusty is the person to see. I should explain, that, yes, I usually do rebuild the carburetors myself. My experience lies with JD's, Mikuni's, motorcycles in general, and old cars. In the case of the JD's, I had one experience where I bought the comprehensive factory rebuild kit, and installed it, and the tractor still did not run properly. I then removed all the brass plugs and cleaned the internal passageways with an extra long .040" drill bit. It still did not run right. I bought commercial carburetor dip, soaked it, and no luck still. After adjusting this and that for a long while, I finally sent it to Robert. He saw that the internal casting had eroded over the years where the load and idle adjusting needles bottom out. He had the jigs and fixtures to remanufacture it, and the tractor now runs like new. So what I am looking for is the "go to" guy, when all else fails. In this case, I need to buy a whole carb, since mine is missing, and figured I might as well get one from someone whom the odds are stacked in my favor that it is a good carb. I have seen some on E-bay, but the ones that I saw look like they have been underwater for several years. Admittedly, looks aren't what matters, but since my tractor is stuck, and this is my first IH, I would like to find a good carb right off the bat. This will make it easier to troubleshoot, once it is unstuck, if I know that the carb is good. I can go on to troubleshoot the ignition, and so on. Thanks for the input! Greg
