farmallman: You are Mitch Poole's cousin, right or wrong? You live in or near Wyoming Ontario, right or wrong? Please note I didn't say ACE No.8, but rather No. 8 Tractor Plow, and also make note it is different from a No. 8 Little Genius Plow. The plow beams are close but do have different part numbers. The rear cross members between beams on a Little Genius are diagnol, whereas the No. 8 Tractor Plow has a rear perpendicular cross member. Both front and rear cross members on the No. 8 Tractor Plow are overlaping heavy flat bar with numerous holes allowing one to adjust the plow for 10", 11", 12" and 14" cut. The ACE moldboards are adjustable for width of cut. The figures ACE-7, ACE-8 and ACE-9/10 are different points for the various width of cut and different plowing conditions. The number is actually the perpendicular distance from landside edge of point to tip of share in inches. If you send me an e mail I'll return photos of levers and indeed complete plow. Better still sometime you are around I'll drive down. You and I have probably met. We came very close last fall. I've been into both Advantage and Websters several times this summer. I suppose if your working on the outskirts of Wyoming you might work some other place, but I think you work at Websters. While I said these ACE bottoms were only sold new in Canada, New England and Europe, some of them have strayed to other places over the past 50 to 75 years. I sold one recently that went to Illinois. Another guy near me sold one to a guy in Illinois. There was one in YT photo adds just 3 days ago in North Dakota. He told me he bought it in Canada. I tell you, our American friends are starting to catch on about championship plowing. If you've never plowed with an ACE bottom, you just don't know what your missing. I was tempted to say more, but this is a family site.
