Hi Mike, It doesent take much more than a speck of dirt in the needle valve to hold it open and make it leak as yours is. Like you I recently purchased an old H, this one had been sitting under some trees for about a year not running at all. I got it home, put in some fresh gas and it started after about five turns. Gas was pouring out of everywhere, but it ran....For about five minutes. Took the glass bowl off the fuel strainer, there was an inch of muck in it.Cleaned it out , put it back on still nothing, no gas coming out of the line. Next, took the fuel strainer off the tank, there were leaves sticking out of the tank, started pulling out the leaves and mud started dribbling out. Long story short, cleaned out tank, replaced leaky fuel strainer, cleaned out gas line with some spray brake cleaner, took the carb apart and blasted it out with the brake cleaner, put it back together with Clean gas and it does not leak a drop anymore.I noticed from your pictures it looks like your old girl has been sitting too. Spend a little time cleaning out the old stuff, And get your air cleaner cleaned out and hooked up, You might be surprised how a little time will help the H run great. Mine went from leaky sputter to stump puller with a couple hours and about $20.00. Where about are you in ca? I'm in the desert, east of palmdale.....Tom
