Hey fella's Got a chance to buy a nice H for 900 bucks the only problem is I don't have a use for it. Now I was thinking maybe I could set it up to cut grass out at the home place, my sister takes care of it now with a craftman but its way more than she can handle. About 3 or 4 acres, at least thats how much I'd mow with this here H. My question is do they make a mower for the H that will cut outside the tires, I'm thinking at least 6 ft maybe 7. Do they make such an animal and does anyone have one that they can tell me a little bit about. Thanks a lot PUTTER

Yes the 72 WOODS will cut past the rear wheel just have to set it up so that it cuts by either wheel.

Why not a 10-12 feet cut? Very easy with a gang reel mower. I have a seven gang Jorgenson (?) (former college machine bought at auction for $210) that can run with a Cub in second. Third on a slight down slope. A H in fourth could handle 4 acres in about 1/2 hour. A Super H could probably pull fifth gear. When your neighbors see how much fun you are having, they will want to take turns mowing your lawn.

Well, Wardner the lawn out there has quite a few trees and fences but if I could cut just the easy stuff my sister could get what left done in less than an hour. If I got a gang mower like yours I might have to open a golf course. I like the idea of the neighbor cutting the grass but right now i'm bushhogging for the neighbor who can't keep up with his farmstead. He's the guy who has the H. It kinda comes with a mowing job if you know what i mean. PUTTER

A belly mower on a H does a great job. Mine is a 6' Arts Way. You may get a little sticker shock when you start looking at mowers unless you can find a good used one. I mow about 8 acres with mine. Or I did back when we used to get rain.

Thanks for the pic Paul. It looks like it does a nice job. I'll do a search on the Arts way.
