Just bought a 1967 Farmall 806 with a cab and trying to identify it to order an interior liner kit. Cabs on these tractors are rare in SC so the local IH partsman was no help. The cab is model # 1-89-100 and serial # 3-11659. It is all white with dual headlights mounted below the windshield. Doors are angled in on the bottom half and have 2 glasses each. The steps angle out to the front of the rear tires and have 3 steps. Looks like it had an Evaporator unit on top that's been removed. The top cover is still in place. Any ideas on what make cab or what interior kit will fit?

Gus: I wouldn't spend a whole lot of time trying to ID that cab. I doubt if there is any part of it that can be bought new anymore. Not saying you cant buy parts, but it will be a case of fabrication and modifying. And when I say modifying I'm thinking door hinges, handles and latches, glass, heater and a/c. Everything else will be fabrication from the ground up.

On upholstry, insulation, etc., I've seen some folks do a job on those cabs that make IH or Excell who manufactured them in the beginning, look very amature. I bought a couple of these tractor new back then, very very poor on insulation and unholstry.

It sounds like the IH Deluxe cab that came out with the 56 series. These are often called the diamond-shaped cab. They pretty much bolt right up to an 06. Look in the tractor photo section for pictures of 56, 26, and very early 66 series tractors with factory cabs.

I'm not sure they made a factory cab for an 806 in 1967.

A picture would help. I'd try all the aftermarket guys to see if they can identify it.

The Evaproator unit was probably an older spray safe unit that filtered the air when a sprayer was attached.

good luck

I have posted a picture in "Tractor Photos" titled "farmall 806 w/cab". This is a "before" picture so the paint looks a little rough. Tractor has since been painted and I'm working on the cab now. Maybe this pic will help someone recognize the cab make.
