I have a mid 40's A, it has the D21 plugs, and I knew they either needed cleaned and reset or replaced! posted here last spring and was told .025 cleaned them with a pipe cleaner (ID) type wire brush and reset them, not much of a power increase! BUT the fuel saving's per acre is unbelievable! cut in half!!!!!

Bill,

I have used Autolite #3076 plugs for years with good results. The last ones I bought were under $4. each, which is pretty cheap for a 7/8" plug. Gap at .025"

Good luck,
Scott

You can get the AC 3077 plugs fron NAPA over night. They are not very expensive there. You can get a hot plug or cold plug if you need it, they have the numbers. If the tractor is hard to start or runs rough the hot plug may help. I have some tractors with the hot plugs in them and they do a lot better. I have been using them for years with no problems.

I think they are a W something in champion. could be W 10 or W14 with a 7/8 thread . D21 have a 18 mm thread. Gap with a magneto should never be more than .025 .
