Dave: I'm surprised you don't have an answer to this. Must have been some folks away from their computers over the weekend. I saw this when you first posted, don't have your answer. I'm thinking they are very similar to most old IH transmission driven PTO's, in that it can all be done from back of tractor. I'd pull the PTO from the parts tractor, if the long shaft going to transmission comes with it, take a light, look in, I think you will see a spline in end of transmission shaft, that matches shaft you just pulled out. On the tractor your going to install this on, park it on a 30% down grade, you can remove that back cover without any loss of rearend oil. You should be able to see if they are the same. I'm betting you can slide your doner unit in, bolt it up and go. I am asuming IH used the same engineering principles on these as on the big standard wheel tractors. I may not be right, but I know you will be able to tell what your getting into without taking more than that back cover off. Transmission driven PTO's are all driven off the transmission shaft that goes directly to the clutch.
