Can anyone tell me what to look for or rather look out for? Going to check it out tomorrow afternoon. I know it starts well and switches to diesel fine and keeps good oil pressure. My understanding is that it loses some power when it gets warmed up. Help is appreciated.

the td-6 is the same moter as the MD,WD or the UD-6 stationary moter. And you can acually put a stationary moter in a tractor. After you get it started and warmed up look for bubbles in the radiator. They had a bad problen cracking heads. You need to cool the tractor down after working it hard before shut down.

Not a lot of info from either post, Rich. I guess there isn't a lot of crawler traffic on this forum. Been told to in the past to shop out the RP forums on this subject. I think I can handle it on my own. Still, you think someone here would have a comment on the diesel engine and power loss. Same engine as the MD, I think?

I think its like the MD also but not sure. I know it starts the same way. Problem area in them is warped valves and cracked heads. Power loss can be a good number if things. Any thing from bad fuel bad injectors to even a weak injector pump. Any of them can be a costly fix also. As I said I have an owners manual for one if you ever need info from the manual
