Hi Guys,

She 'taint very pretty, but is a solid, functional tractor, so guess the little Hydro 70 is now officially retired to loader duty.

Yes, I made darned sure that this one burned diesel! :>)

Alan i'd leave the cab on this one. You never know when you get a bad day that you just may thank yourself for it being on.

Oh Sure,

I've got 46 acres of ground to fall plow yet before the snow flies. Kinda why I bought it; can't wait to strap it on the plow and get that extra gear. :>)

Looked at the pisture again and noticed it didn't have the long rear axles like mine did :>)
Remember that stir I caused on here?

Looks like the twin to the one I bought last February. Mine is a little rougher as far as the paint job but like yours it is mechanically sound or it was when I pulled it in the shed last Sunday evening. Only thing different on mine is an air breather stack front of muffler.

I like it, but what are all those valves doing on the fender anyway? How many SCVs does it have?
I"m looking to get a 1086 myself (I like the quieter cab) to run the H.P. sucking haybine. That ought to make it sit up and take notice.

I like it already. But hey, is that cab coming off? I kinda favor open stations.

I don't like the cabs either, but I promised myself that I'm gonna keep the wrenches clear away from this one.

Darned thing really shook out nice when I run 'er about yesterday. Just felt "good & tight".

The ol heifer has a new T/A and clutches, hydraulics have been reworked recently, total rebuild of the front end including brand new knees, new seat, recent pump and that motor has been into at at least once from the looks of those new gaskets.

Might try a little wax on 'er tho. :>)

Allen, Looks like a great find, every IH/Farmall tractor is good looking, some you just have to look a little deeper to find it :) Will you leave the cab on this one? Is the right hand cab window a slider? would make it a whole lot easier to reach the hyd valves on the cab fender if it is :) A couple of hours work with some Meguires cleaner/wax and that 10 will shine and sparkle like a new one!! Enjoy your new ride

Jim

Hi Jim,

Those hydraulics/controls and the loader mounts have to come off of it 'cause they go with the DuAl loader that used to be on it. They wanted another $3500 for the loader. Heck, I have too many loaders now. :>)

That's what I was kinda wonderin'; if maybe a little wax would bring the shine back to 'er.
