I just acquired a Intl 240 U. What were the production numbers and years? Where can I locate the side tin panels for the hood?

I got mine from the Jeff guy listed above. I had really good luck with him and would buy from him again. Just my 2 cents.

I have a 340 Utility. I"ve purchased missing components from JPTractor. There"s also a guy who supplies sheet metal parts for 240/340/460 etc thru ebay who I purchased a battery support plate from . . believe his ID is jeffsbigdawg, or something like that. Be aware sheet metal skirt parts run approx $60 per piece.

My 240U came without them and I could not find any. I made some out of aluminum and when painted they looked fine. Not original, but fine...

Welcome to the 240U club. You'll find the production numbers on the left of these pages along with tons of other good stuff. As far as tin, you might try Bates or a local salvage yard. I'm not sure. Mine had homemade skirts which I didn't bother putting back on.
