J should signify a Rockford clutch. Wish it was in my barn!

it could be,,:)-- although my 8 yr old saw it today after school and says he likes it,, he says dad what are you going t do with it, i said not sure yet,, he says I like it its kinda cute,, we should keep it, well we are already starting to restore a 47 with no hydraulics that he likes,, I told him make a decision it will be one or the other.this one is actually in better shape and would be easier to finish--but I cant tell him that.. but he did ask which one would be 'better' to restore because of the age and niceness,

I know I know, keep both right,, I already have 12 running tractors and 15 that are in varying stages of "restoration" ..even tried to sell a few this week but no good they are still here,,,

yes my name is pat and I have a problem,,, but at least I cant get arrested for it ,,yet.

Your tractor came from the factory as 6 volt, positive ground. In the ensuing years, lots of things could have been changed (perhaps screwed up). Describe the charging means, generator or alternator and post the numbers from it. The numbers on the generator will enable us to identify it for sure. Better hurry, these posts get moved down quickly.

they sure do move fast, I think it is supposed to be 6 volt still it has the geeny still underneath her, just wasnt sure if they changed to 12 volt genny at some time.? I think I found the trouble the lug on the starter switch where the cable goes to is loose, the nut just turns into into itself and wont tighten, I have another one I will put on in the morning, when did they switch to 12 volt or did they???thanks pat

the paint is actually 50-50 looks good at 50 feet even better at 50 yards
