if i turn the hubs around so they face in and put the rims back on in the right direction , then buy a nother set of wheels and rims put them on standardly i should be able to have duals on my H right? it looks like it will work.....

I had duals on my MD for awhile. I had the cast wheels dished in and then a bolt on set up hubs with 9 bolt pressed steel wheels on the outside. When I measured everthing it would have worked with the cast wheels with one dished in and the other dished out with 13.6 X 38 tires.

Any other questions just ask. I was going to go and use all IH original wheels, but I could not get the other set at a good price and I had the pressed steel wheels laying around.

I'd offer you a set of 9 bolt spacers cheap but I gave them to a freind to settle a bet. I get a set of deere 9 bolt hubs at archbold ohio a couple years ago with the spacers, took them home, and ran just the hubs through another auction and got my money back plus some.

It will be a real trick to tighten those inside bolts. Whats wrong with band duals? They are simple and work very well on the smaller tractors.

The old H & M wheels proved to be kinda weak when clamp-on duals were used because of the off-set forces from the dual wheel being so far away from where the hub clamped to the axle. The cast wheel centers would crack across the corners on the "D" shaped hole. Since the same basic wheel was used up to the 460/560 models and even later on up to the 686 & Hydro 86 I wouldn't recommend using clamp-on duals for heavy tillage. (What ELSE would You want duals for right? ;-) That being said Dad ran clamp-on duals on My Super H and his M for planting corn and other lighter duty jobs but the plowing & discing was done with bolt-on duals.

or you could put the left one on the right side and visa versa and save a little time. the inside bolts on the outside hub will fun tightening if dont leave a big enough space,,
