thanks I will find them if and when it stops raining here, I know I have to change it out when I tried to start it this late winter it wouldnt start so I towed it, still wouldnt pop start the tires were just dragging, I thought maybe frozen starter, pulled that looked ok, I pulled the gear shifter and had slush, the rear drives were froze, I put the space heater on it and after a half hour no troubles, but havent done anything to it since pulling it out of the shed in the spring, so I have to change it out so i dont run into that trouble again,

The drop axle or final drive housings do not have drain plugs. You remove the pans to drain them. The fill plugs are on the inboard side of the housings. Large recessed square head plugs. Use a 1/2" rachet to fit the plug. They hold 1 3/4 pints each. I usually fill them to just below the gasket level.

There is a drain plug in the pan on the bottom of each rear axle housing. Worst case, pull the pans.

There is a fill plug on the inside of each rear axle housing. Fill with gear oil until it runs out.

Tranny/differential is a separate oil reservoir. There's a fill plug on top of the tranny behind the shift lever. A level plug on the left side behind the left fender, and a drain plug somewhere on the bottom.

Sort of depends on where your talking about. The tranny/rear end are the same houseing, then theres a dry area where the brakes are and if theres water there its no big deal. Then on the out side theres the bull gears and theres oil in that area. As far as how much oil I don't remember for sure. We redid all the seals, clutch, and painted up a cub a couple years ago. Thats also the reason I know all this. Theres seals both in the outer area and the tranny/rear end area to keep water out and oil in

There are drain holes directly under the brake drums on each side, they may be plugged with dirt.
