Hey guys. Finally got my Power dump done on my 300U. Been done for about a week, was eager to get pics tonight since I got the cam from mom, so I took them at night, so they arent that great. Took alot of time designing, figuring and so on. if I had to do it over, I would have lowered the mounts on the bucket a little. I wanted to be sure it had the power to move the dirt, so I played it safe and sacrificed a bit of movement for more power at the tip of the bucket. It has more then enough power to pick the front end of the tractor up when digging into a dirt pile and using the dump to rock the dirt back and forth. It's alot speedier then I figured it would be. I'm thinking my pump is the 17GPM version. I wish I had a flowmeter. Also, for the hose union mount, I welded the union to a muffler clamp, worked out pretty good. The new cast iron rods are awesome.

I only leave the tarp on at night so dew doesnt form on the tractor, and when it rain, other then that I leave it off. It will be in the garage before too long, when I get it cleaned out before winter.
I'm going to try to find a wider bucket for plowing snow and leveling ground. This bucket works awesome for digging ino packed clay dirt really well. I have the cylinders in such a way, using a regular bucket wont require much modding at all.

Not sure what pressure you are running in your system, but your "T's" in the plumbing appear only schedule 40, and are only rated for 125-150 psi. Failure by cracking is a distinct possibility.

I only know black iron by single, double and triple strength. The lift arm "t" and crossover tubing is single strength, standard black iron pipe. My system is spec'd at 1350 I believe. Havent had a problem with it, until I do, It's what I'm using. Where do you get other stuff? Those brass elbows are like $5, compared to a black iron street elbow at $0.59

Great (and tidy) install. Good pictures as well. The flash highlighted your work and that is the point. One word of caution (in case you are new to hydraulic buckets) be very careful using it as a dozer with the bucket tipped down and scraping with the edge. Many have found their cylinders jerked out of the mounts, bent or pulled in two by the forces of inertia when the scraping blade hits a imovable object in the dirt. Great remodel. JimN

Actually, my lift rams give a bit first, I think I still have air in them, but no biggie. I tip the bucket up slightly when scraping to help prevent that. I scrape in 1st gear as well. I actually backdrag more then scrape as the bucket isnt as wide as the tractor.

Isn't it fun tring to figure out just how to switch a trip bucket to a hyd bucket. I hope you have it set up so it will dump all the way when its up as high as it will go. I've seen a lot of them that when they are up as high as they go will only dump half way and that makes it hard to unload the bucket if you have wet dirt etc. in it

Well, it will dump nearly vertical when it is about 6 feet in the air, more then enough for what I would ever use it for. This spring i might lower the bucket mounts to get more movement. It does its intended job. I cant imagine making it do a full dump fully lifted, as it lifts probly 10 foot at least, and would dump onto the hood. Ideally I would like to get a 6 foot bucket, but not many around my place for decent money.
