Hello to all, i have a super a that runs in the red on oil pressure when it gets up to running temp, i put new bearings in it this last winter and that had helped a little. however i plan to do a rebuild this winter and have a few options and need advice.
1. i have an old engine with a bent rod (piston locked up in sleve) crank is turnable, and i can get another rod for 20 dollars, it will need an oil pump.2. i can rebuild the one i have, but have more down time. some more questions i have are this...
on car or truck engines i always replace the oil pump, shouldnt i do it on my tractor? if so where can i buy one, is it dealer only? what about the bearings for the cam and the govenor, should they be replaced, and in trucks, i almost always replaced the cam, what about my tractor cam, and if so where can i find one? are tisco engine kits the best what do you all recomend? any and all advice apreciated.
