Any body know how important the oiler gear i a 1941 Model A is? I was changing the gear oil in one I've been trying to restore found some metal particles. All I can find wrong with it is there are no teeth left on oiler gear. It is aluminum. Dealer wants more for one gear than tractor is worth. Any help would be appreciated.

If you run your pto in neutral the oiler gear picks the oil up to lubricate the gears.Other wise if you just use the pto as you drive the gears will do the job. I have seen them for $60.00 online.

If you can find a good tranny you can get all the gears and shafts for around the same money or maybe a few mor $.

I"d give $60 for one if I knew where to look. I found the whole back half of an A but I have to take it apart and haul it about 1/4 mile in wheel barrow and then don"t know if its any good. I made mistake in original post its a 1947 not 1941.
