Has anyone built there own 3 point hitch for their M? Would like to build one. I would like to talk to someone for some sizes or ideas. I am not going to spend $800 on one. When I got all the metal to build it.

Thanks

This worked well on my MD. Good luck, I have an Autocad file of it. JimN

I made one this summer for my 400. Looks good and works too. I can not for the life of me, figure out how to attach anti-sway chains or bars to keep it straight on side hills. I guess I did not plan ahead very well. I had two rams from a corn picker that I used and purchased about $170 dollars of materials for the whole project. I used the Saginaw 3 pt as a reference. If you are the right type of person, you should not find it to difficult to make. You may need to be slightly mechanically inclined with an imagination and part visionary. I am not all three at once, so it wasn't real easy for me to design it. I did not have easy access to equipment to bore 1 inch holes and that was the tough part to accomplish.

OOPS, I spent at least $270 not $170. Maybe even a little more by time you add a few smaller pieces of hardware that my son picked up for me.

Years ago I built one for an Oliver 77. I used lift arms from a Ford 8N. You just need to look good at the ones that are made for your tractor then copy it. Thats all I did. I saw a picture of one and then set out to build it. Works pretty good also

"Riverbottom farmer" who freqents this site has built one that I saw while visiting at his home in Ohio. He had it on an H. He did a professional job out of various existing parts that do not need to be reinvented.
