Burnt valve

My Farmall 460 gas had always been an easy starter until two weeks ago. Now I can only pull start it. Compression on #1 is 90 lbs even with a little oil in the cylinder, so I'm guessing its a burnt valve. The rest are 120-130. Is the one burnt valve really enough to keep it from starting or do I need to keep looking. I checked and am getting spark, gas and air.
Thanks....

I'm with Old & Rusty, it should start and run okay with 90 lbs in #1, I don't think you'll even notice it missing. Unless the compression drops off quite a bit more as you keep using this tractor, you may not even have a valve problem. I like the idea of checking your lash. Regardless, something else has happened to create the starting problem.

One burnt valve will not keep the engine from starting. Granted, it will not run real smooth, or have the power it should, but it still will start and run.

It should start and run ok on just 3 cylinders. Shoot you should be able to pull that plug out and have it start easy. As far as haveing a burt valve I would first check the valve gap setting before I would do any thing else. Over time the gaps do close down some and that could be your problem with starting even. Of course a good tune up may help also
