Ok, Approximately 5 months ago I purchased a 1941 Farmall A for some brush hogging. I have since purchased a McCormick grader/snow blade for it and am doing some maintainenance to the tractor before it gets too cold to do anything outside. What I thought I bought was a Farmall A gasser. But as it turns out I think I have a distillate/gas unit. The tractor came with no second gas tank for starting although the hood had an extra hole (4) for the tank. When I went to look into ordering a carburetor rebuild kit. I noticed that a gas carb has a plug in place of the main jet nozzle adjustment screw for the distillate. My tractor is running gas and has the distillate main jet adjustment screw. Can this be? Can it run like this and/or efficiently? Which kit shold I buy? The gas or distillate?? Help?? Should I convert back to a gas carb or just buy another whole carb on Ebay? I have enclosed pictures to help you visualize what I have on my tractor. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tim
