Hi guys. I got my garage cleaned out about 2 weeks ago. Put the 300u in there to keeper dry for the winter. Well my car needed a brake job which had many SERVERE complications. Ended up taking a good solid week of 3 hours/day after work and a full 2 day weekend to get it done, along with an oil change/lube, new blower motor. Well today it was about 40 degrees. I went to start her up and she wouldnt turn over. The solenoid seemed to click fine. Currentltly my generator is not hooked up, as the belt is broke, and my water pump pulley's setscrew is broke. So until I get a spliceable belt to run it, I just charge it after each use. Well I forgot the last time, so I thought the battery was dead. Charged her up for a bit, charged within 10 minutes on slow charge, so I knew it wasnt the battery. I checked the voltage at the battery, solenoid and starter. When trying to start, the voltage at the starter was 4.1. So I got out the 6v jumpstart to give the battery a boost. Same result. I figured maybe the starter was tied up. Whacked her a bit with a rubber mallet, and same thing. With the loader all the way down, I was in for fun. I jacked the bucket up and put a dolley under it and tried pulling it in road gear. Nothing. I couldnt get any traction in the stones with my empty bed S-10. So I put her in neautral and pulled her to the road so I could get my car out of the garage. Decided to try pushing her on the road. Tires spun again. Got back about 6 inches max to not destroy my road gear and idled into her and she broke loose. Started right up then.My question is, how the heck did she get stuck in 1 week of sitting. I know its colder now, but only 10 egress colder. Is this a common occourence for the temperatuire to lock up an engine. I guess this eliminates using it as a plow. Besides, the extreme cold is not good on hydraulic pumps. What could I do to help this situation out? I was very upset until I broke it loose. I didnt want to run it after breaking it loose, as I would imagine it puts excessive wear on shrunken parts. I had to to get her in the garage tho, so I did. Any thoughts, insights, words of comfort would be appreciated!! Also, on a side note, my hydraulioc pump buzzes when in use with a load. Anyone really know what actually causes this? Can a hydrulic pump be remachined like those plates for the oil pumps (on the M's I believe). Hydraulic pumps on these tractors are essentially gear pumps like oil pumps. Anyone have a exploded view of these pumps? The pump works fine, and the cylinders are quick, but I'd just like to know in case I decide to have her fixed. With the engine off, if I put the lift cylinder valve in the up position (1 way lift cylinders), the arms go down slowly. I'm sure this is normal to some degree, but how normal?
