my 666 t/a shifts up or down depending on up hill or down hill travel. i know this needs fixed . my question is, could this cause the governor to operate erradically ? the engine smooths out under load, or if i lay on the brakes momentarily. thanks to any responses.jared

If you are having the TA shift by itself, it may be slipping in direct. The ground speed may be falling back to TA speed when under any load. This is necessary to fix pronto because something is slipping when it is going slower. Your description is interesting, but so unlike normal operation that it might not be as I describe. It is definately improper for it to shift by itself. JimN
