I changed my first set of disk brakes on my Super H, thanks to all the great tips from the good folks on this forum, especially Bob M. It was exactly as you described, luckily I didn't have any significant oil or grease leaks, and no broken seals. There was a fair amount of rust, but I took care of that with a wire brush and sand paper. Everything cleaned-up fine. I got my new disks from Steel Wheel Ranch at a quarter of what my Case/IH dealer was asking, so I think I did pretty good. I went from no brakes to being able to stop one wheel and pivot the tractor on a dime. My grin was worth the pinched fingers, dirty fingernails, minor cuts and stained coveralls (it was, afterall, my first time!) But I must admit that after working in a small cubicle in a downtown office all week, I sure do look forward to spending some quality time with the Farmall! Marc in ON
