I was out trying to figure out where the tresspassing hunters were coming in and i noticed the grill of a farmall sticking out of a shed. the owners were not home so i stopped at one of the neighbors and inquired who owned it. Well i met the guy on my way out and inquired if it was for sale and if he knew what model it was. Said he thought it was an H , but it needed some attention, carb, governor etc. Didn't know if he wanted to sell ,but would have to think about it.

Now i hav'nt been in the shed to look it over, but figured if he did want to sell then i would go get a better idea of the condition.I wished it was a wide front.

See i don't even know if he will sell it and i'm already looking at things to change. Probably wont sell or be out of sight on price.

Maybe i'm just a farmall nut now. 3 and still looking. i'd like to have an H with wide front, or an M with wide front. Basically anything with a wide front.

Anything to be especially warry of on the H when looking one over?

I assume no responsibility!!!

Banjo, where are you located? I would be pickled to sell my wide front end to a friend. It's an original IH wide in good condition. You may have seen it when I posted a pic. I don't have that pic up on a website right now because I just swapped servers, but I will soon. If you want to see it I can send you a photo through e-mail.

Miike, i'm way over here in s.e. oklahoma. and i still hav'nt heard if he wants to sell or not. But he didn't sound like he was too interested.
I have seen the picture of your H and i would be tickled pickled to have your front end if i had this H. But your way over ther in that foreign part of the country. And it would be $$$$ to get it here.

old, the only reason i asked the man about this tractor is it's only about 1/4 mile away as the crow flys from my fence line.Where are you located?

Ya, watch out for that guy wearing orange (sometimes they disguise themselves as SMV-slow moving vehicle signs) and protecting the H with a gun - he may or may not have a "Farmall Enthusiast" hunting license!

Make sure it has good rubber and good rims. Usually the rest is enjoyable tinkering time. Depending on what year and condition H from price book $760-$2550. Need more information to be more precise on value. Bob

Well if he doesn't want to sell I have 3 of them I would sell. All are around 1940 models. 2 run well but all need TLC big time
