Jim: Your figures support what I've always believed about these offset tractors. The value is actually in the implements, and the only real exception too that is late model 140s. Witness the one you saw with implements at 6-7 K, versus the one I saw with fast hitch only at 4.5K, yet the implements still separate them. I have 3 of these tractors and have owned 3 others in my lifetime. The 3 I bought and sold, I bought just to get implements or attachments. I bought a 130 once just to get the fast hitch. I've done the same with plows, cultivators, etc. 15 years ago I called a bare, but running well SA, 100, 130 or 140 with U drawbar and hydraulics, a $1,500. tractor plus what ever implements or attachments came with it. Since then, for some reason those late model 140s have caught the eye of folks with money to play with. I have somewhere in the order of 22 implements for my 3 tractors. If I set out this morning to buy 3 more tractors, I'll bet I could have them bought right by the weekend. I'll also bet it would take me 25 years to find all those implements again. It took 45 years first time but we didn't have internet. My point is, it's a lot harder to find implements than tractors, and one will overpay for implements more often than the tractor.
