Here it is hanging on the tractor. The biggest problem was fitting the old warped draw bar but finally with a jack, got is separted wide enough for the holes to lign up...next the plumbing.

Just posted elsewhere about the plumbing. Not at all hard!

Are going to try for down pressure? You'll need the Christmas Tree.

I found a "Christmas tree" for the belly pump, that gives two way hydraulics, it replaces the fill neck on the belly pump. And I found the hydraulic cover plate for an M. Cost me $35 altogether (no, not including the hitch!). I bought my hitch with two cylinders, and run them with 2-way hydraulics.

Try Steel Wheel Ranch, or Miller Repair in Maxwel, Nebraska for the parts.

The Christmas tree part number is 353097R94, Auxiliary Control Valve, it's retired, maybe Cowman can find one for you. The cover plate is 353114R1, Shield, also retired.

I ran the hose to the back of the Tranny housing from the "Aux. Control Valve", and then used tees to split to the two cylinders.

I'll try to get a photo this afternoon.

I have a 3 point on my SMTA that looks like the Saginaw but isn't. Was on it when I got it. Has the same 2 cylinder option and removing a pin to remove down pressure. Nice thing about them is that with the pins and snap clips you can remove the arms easily if you are using some thing that they interfere with. Like my baler. And you can still use original drawbar. I have had problems with front of it being light but only when using a heavy 3 point disc. I have seldom used the down pressure. Only time I remember was using a subsoiler and it was not to push it into the ground but rather to keep it at a set depth. ONly other problem is that on some tools ytou can't get them down far enough before the arms hit the drawbar.

Hayfarmer, I welded two tabs with holes to the inside of where the drawbar bolts on, cut about 4" out of the center of the U drawbar to narrow it and moved the braces to the inside of the 3 pt frame. Now the arms are completely outside of the drawbar. Have had no problems with it.

now that right there is what I need for my bareback 544, looks like just the ticket, I got the tractor ,it was a county tractor for cutting road sides, no 3 pt or pto,has hydro power to the rear it had a hydro cutting bar on it , so plumbing would be easy, I have to look into something like this , where did you get that from ,pat

That sure stretches out the flexability of that H.

Just might have to give one of those gizmos a thought or two. Would be kinda nice to haul 2 bales with my H. :>)

I have had one for several years now. I think it's great! Notice also it includes adjustment on each side of the hitch. And you can pull 2 pins and it will be lift only - no down pressure. I think it is a better design than any OEM unit I have seen.

I keep looking at the hitch picture, and I can't figure out which two pins a fella should pull in order to have lift only. I never was good with puzzles. :>)

Sherman, don"t know about the saginaw, but on my 460 international, there is a pin in the bottom of the cylinder which can be removed or inserted according to which operation you need. pin in, down pressure, pin out, no down pressure.

A neighbor of mine is an old equipment salesman. He tells me that it is very important to put weights on the front of the tractor because this thing makes the center of gravity get out of whack.

I am going to take his word for it and hang some on the front.

Front weights are good idea, have put thousands of hours on SM with Saginaw and some rather heavy implements and have not noticed any stability problems but like all 3 point tractors front end can get rather light.
