Hey does anyone know what model number of carburetor is used on a 1951 McCormick W-6? I would like to pick up a carb re-build kit but the parts man needs some numbers to go by. My service manual says an "E12" but this doesn't help him. If anyone has the carb model number's or the actual re-built kit numbers from Napa themselves that would be great. Thanks to all in advance for the input

Hey, I'm located up here in Ontario, Canada roughly an hour and a half out of Ottawa. I was wondering what one of these rebuild kits from my Case-IH dealer would cost roughly? I'm about an hour from the closest dealer and I would kinda like an idea of how much one would cost befoer I take a hike out there, I guess the only other option would be to call as I assume that he would have to order the rebuild kit in for me.
Thanks again and take care for now

There is a small, round brass tag mounted on the carb close to where the governor tube attaches. The number on that tag is what is needed. The absolute best rebuild kit you can buy will be from your local Case-IH dealer. It will also be the most pricey. Your next best option would be right here at Yesterday's Tractors. The kit available from NAPA is a service kit and will not contain all the parts needed for a major rebuild.

Hey thanks, I really appreciate all the advice that I have gotten here. I like to think that I'm not a total greene horn as I have lived on the farm all my life and have always had a love for tractors but, still being that I am only 18 I still really appreciate all of the help you fellas offer.I guess I'm just a young lad trying to break into the hobby. Thanks again

Ya Nappa supplies the re-build kits too but the parts man needs some model number off of the carb to make sure that he orders the correct rebuild kit. Also did IH manufacture their own carbs or did they do like other brands and buy carbs from outside manufacturers like Marvel&Schuber or Zenith? Thanks again in advance
