1. My mother in law who will never forgive me for taking her daughter 44 years ago...even though her 3 granddaughters, by me, treat her like she were a queen. and

2. Trash in the gas tank that you cannot get out, that gums up the works, lets fuel run sometime, sometimes not, so today..to tractor supply...they can solve the problem for $22.50 plus tax, a new bowl with extension and screen. Being tightwad, I passed on that and came home and turned a small aluminum airplane fitting so it would press fit in the hole...extended it up above trash level....Oh, I love it now.

What aggravates me is people who can't spell.
Just kidding... anyways, So you bypassed the bowl altogether? or do you mean u tapped into the tank at a level higher then normal to prevent the gum from getting into the fuel line?

I must be a little forgiving about spelling becuase I am not the best one.

No, I do not mean I bypassed it. I just screwed the whole thing out of the gas tank...and found a hole down through the middle of the sedament bowl--I just press fitted a small piece of pipe into the hole so that the fuel would enter at higher level and the trash remain on the bottom of the tank.

Tom, I've done the same thing on most of my tractors, except I used a small diameter steel brake line and enlarged the hole in the sediment bowl to accept the tubing. Solves a whole bunch of problems. The original sediment bowl assembly had a fine mesh brass screen rolled into a cylinder shape that served the same purpose. Most of those have rotted away.
