Just been nattering to Hugh and he said you might be able to answer my questions. What was the color of the one bottom plow that wes mounted on the Farmall A tractor. Also I have just restored my 1940 BN and i want to paint the hand lifting equipment the right color. Most A, B & BN tractors sent to the UK in the early 1940s were sent with just the hand lift equipment and then the toolbars were made locally. Many thanks. MJ

The levers on the ones i have had were red. I had a B-187 i sold was rusty so i never sandblasted to realy know what color it was. I currently have a B-187 exhaust lift and also a BN-187 exhaust lift both of those levers are red. Neither has the joiners but do have the steel guage wheels. Do you have all the parts? Do you need an owners manual?

Thanks Gene but the plough is not mine and the owner has painted all blue and it looks awfull. I am going to paint the hand lift unit on my BN red as they all seem to be red in the pictures. MJ

When I restored an A in 1976 I painted the plow yellow. It was brown when I bought it from rust.
Here's a picture of it on the tractor. Hal
