Well my luck is the same as usual I guess. I bought a FArmall C this weekend(earlier post 2 pages in) and hoped to get it running. So I bought a new coil and all the tune up parts look new except for the plugs so I went to remove those. Well 3 came out kinda hard and the 4th well it broke off in the head. What do I do to get it out? I have an easy out in it, but the plug is so recessed in the head I cant get a good wrench on the end to torque on it. Anyone have any good ideas? Also I have power to the coil but no spark at points that I could see, what to look at? Thanks
Matt

Hey guys thanks for the help. Got caught up today but tomorrow that thing will come apart. Pete you are correct everything except the threads of the plug came out. It snapped where the threads and hex head meet. Matt

HI...Are you saying that the metal hex head of the spark plug broke off and the remains of the plug are still in the head? I'm just trying to better picture what the problem is so I might be able to help. Pete

For gods sakes get tht easy out of there!! They are hardened and brittle as hell and just snap off. they are ok if the part is not rusted just stripped. Easy outs should be illegal!!
I would do as Janicholson suggested.

Yeah i quit using reverse thread extractors and went to square ones, the reverse swege the parts together making matters worse. you could take the head off and work it from the inside.

The best i've used is to use a oxy acetlyene torch with a medium welding tip to heat the remaining shell to red hot. Do it without directing the flame down the hole (and remove the easy out). After heating, allow it to cool to cold (10-15 min) then squirt on penetrant and turn it in before turning it out (square removal tools work for this) then work it in/out as you remove it. JimN
