Yesterday I towed home my latest project, a Farmall 350 Diesel. I don't know how long this tractor has been sitting in this guy's back yard, but the tires were sunk at least 4 inches into the ground. The tires actually held air and none of them were totally flat. His wife said it has been sitting there for at least 10 years. My poor son rode the 350 and I towed it with my Super H. The tires had such flat spots that he bounced all the way home the 4 miles. I couldn't even go wide open in road gear. Tractor is all in tact, engine is stuck, has a loader which I took off today, so next will move it in the garage for start of the teardown. Ordered manuals and should have it a week or so. The Cub will have to move to the pole barn and out of the heated garage to make room for the 350. This is the first "out in the woods" tractor I have ever done, all my other tractors were running when I got them (seven others all letter series). Should be some interesting challenges with this 350 diesel. Roger

The 350 diesel is a great tractor.I have one and use it for all kinds of jobs. That being said parts for the GD193 continental engine are a lot more expensive to work on.Good luck keep us posted.

You are going to enjoy the 350 D. I restored one several years ago. See cover of Red Power Sept. 1999. Keep this # handy for engine parts 312-225-2660 Monties Equipment Co in Chicago

Roger, keep us posted on the problems and sweet spots as you come across them (we hope there are a lot of good things!) Maybe if you share with us on a regular basis, the work will not seem as endless. I for one would like to hear about your eventual triumph, step by step. Dick Davis
