im trying to replace the sediment bowl on my 1939 h. the problem is the hole in the bottom of the fuel tank is smaller than the replacement sediment bowl threads. this was "fixed" by dad and grandpa a long time ago with pipe adapters and all kinds of goodies to get the the larger size. whats it supposed to have? also, where do you get the dual inlet sediment bowl top for the distillate tractors? if someone has a 39 h thats really complete and correct somewhere near southern illinois id be intrested in meetin with ya to take some pics to get me started on the right path. Thanks. Adam

Gene, your sediment bowl should fit your Super H. The one on my Super H came from Tractor Supply.

If you will do a Google search for Case IH Parts Catalog> choose Case IH .. parts & service .. search for parts> click on search for parts at bottom of screen> search for Farmall H> click on chassis> click on chassis 100 fuel tank..you will get exploded view of tank, strainer, fuel lines etc. Picture can be enlarged by clicking + at top. This might be of some help.

Although its not correct, Tractor Supply has one for dual tanks. I think its for a A.C.tractor. ken

This really doesn't answer your question, but just an FYI. I was going by the Case/IH dealership in Troy Mo. last week and asked for a complete sediment bowl. It was $48. It is still out in the truck, I just assumed it would fit. You have my curiousity up now, I will have to take it to the shop after we see what Santa brought and see if it fits. It's for my Super H.

Merry Christmas !! Gene
