I need the gasket where the oil filter base bolts on to the engine block with 4 bolts for a f-12 farmall. I have a early f-12 and a later f-12 and the oil filter base is different on them. I don't know if the gaskets are the same or not, but I need the gasket or a place where I can order it for the later model f-12. The oil filter base looks like the one on the f-14. Thanks, Hank 785

Hank, Hal's right and the filter one is the thin paper, not cork. It has three long slots that are close together as well as the perimeter and bolt holes so if you have never made one before you might want to pick an easier one to start with. If your not into making them call Skip or Bob at (The Fordson House 1-906-786-5120)or Gorden Rice at(1 (814) 226-9200)for F-12 and 14 gasket sets. They sell many gaskets separatly also. Talk to both because often one will have different deals than the other and each also has different areas of expertise which is a whole bunch on each side. Two good sources for parts and gaskets. Good luck.

If you have access to that area on the engine block where that oil filter base is bolted. You can use a piece of gasket material and use a small
peen hammer and make your gasket by tapping on the gasket material. You need to keep the gasket material from moving. We made them in at work all the time. I still do it since I retired. Hal
