Howdy!

I found what appears to be an F-20 at a "junk" dealer, but I couldn't find a serial number or anything to verify this. It is on all steel which fairly small rear wheels which were interesting to me. I should confess that I know very little about Red tractors as I'm a '37 JD A guy myself (and a '40 Ford 9N), but I was wondering how I could narrow down the year and get some idea of what it's worth. I have a couple pics but for some reason they aren't uploading correctly. Will email if interested.

Thanks!

Greg

Upon further investigation, I think it is probably a Farmall Regular instead of an F-20 or 30, mainly due to the open steering cams up front. Looking at a picture of the very first Farmall Regular, it looks just like it as far as I can tell.

Thanks again for your help!

Greg

The F-30 had 6 bolts holding the pulley drive and the F-20 had 4.

Greg, The serial number on a F-20 can be on the tag on the toolbox that is on the clutch housing, the pulley side frame rail, or stamped on the carburetor side of the block by where the water pipe bolts on the block. Andy.

Also the F-30 had two bolts thru the frame at the rear motor mount, F-20's had 1. Value depends on condition but should be from 150.oo for a rough parts tractor on up...

greg, there should be a number stamped on the top of the left side frame rail, gas tank area if an f-20' and enclosed steering gear on front. big nut in the center of the rear hub if it is an f-30.
