I am attempting to locate and install either a 2pt or 3pt hitch to a 560d. I believe this machine had one installed at one time, and was removed somewhere along the way. Is there a way to tell if it did in fact have a 2pt, what hitches are available that would fit this machine, and where could the appropriate hitch be found? Thank you

J Anderson: As Brian said, most of those old fast hitches are worn out, go 3 point right from scratch. You might look around for a fast hitch rockshaft, and hydraulic cylinder complete with chassis mounting, then build your 3 point hitch from that.

Pre 1962 fast hitches were a great device on small tractors like SC, 200, 230, etc., and smaller. The larger tractors, especially if they were used for a lot of draw bar work, beat out the pin holes, and the hitch became so loose, one may as well been pulling a baler for example with a 3' chain. I had a new 560 and before it was 10 years old I removed the fast hitch and installed an M type drawbar. You could rebuild the pins and holes but that would only last a year.

I think a fast hitch off a 450 will fit.

If it were me I would put a after market 3pt on it and not mess with a fasthitch unless you already have fasthitch equipment. Most fasthithes still out there are wore out and the 3pt adapters still don't work with everything. It really depends on the use of the tractor but for most general use I think the 3pt would be better, I have had a 560 with each and if I had another one I would get a 3pt even though they are never going to be as good as a 656 with a 3pt and draft control they work for most stuff. I once owned a 560D and as far as I know they all had the two point fast hitch but I converted mine to 3 point by buying special adapters for 2point and welding two ears to rockshaft for top link. There may be a kit for that. It worked for me many years ago.lol
