Those fans and ducting sure look like they might have come off a cotton picker.

Cotto Picker, Yes they have value! In a nutshell it is a vamped up 706, But a whole lot nicer! I would love to have one. I know of one in my country but the guy will not part with it!, He had a 756 LP, Hydro....but sold it a few yrs ago for it was in need of an engine overhaul!!!! Probably went to scrap. I know of another one in NE Texas but the owner is off premisisis, and will not part with it, nor will they take care of it, it was not stuck, one year ago. and when they tried to start it, the engine hit a few times before the batt quit! The price sounds about right.
Later, John A.

Jay - I like your choice of words. Indeed, it IS a contraption, for sure! But, the SMTA is a beauty....

What a great site/forum this is. We get to see EVERYTHING! Mike

Congratulations on your SMTA purchase. Looks like a diamond in the rough with lots of potential. (I love the photo with the weeds and the old store building in the background. Looks like a thousand different places in the South. Only thing missing is some railroad tracks.) Keep us posted on your challenges and progress as you work with the tractor. mike

The 1952's did not; I believe the change took place in mid 1953. Others may answer and can give you specifics as to serial number, month, etc. mike
