Traded for F12 or F14 that was going to be scrappe

I traded some junk cars for what looks like a F14. It seems to be mostly complete. Missing the crank. Front wheels are rubber while the back are steel. Missing its data tag. Engine may be stuck and the block has been welded where at one time it threw a rod. It came out of a barn and was going to be scrapped the scrapper knew I liked old tractors so he called me up and we did some trading. I got it today and looked it over in the rain. It"s not too rusty and mostly complete. Crank is missing. Front rims are in good shape and look to be original. I can post a picture if someone tells me how. I plan to restore it. We have a few Regulars and F20"s at out tractor shows but no F14 or F12. Anyone know where the serial numbers are? The data tag the was inbetween the gauges is gone. Stickers on the fuel tank say F14. Has the sloping steering and long brake lever. Also will be looking for parts as I restore her. Thanks,

Not a bad looking F-14. I have one on full steel wheels that I have put road bands on so I can drive in parades. It is one of my favorite tractors. F-14 parts are a little harder to find than F-12, but most of the parts are interchangeable and fairly easy to find and not to expensive. Good luck on your project.

Thanks. I hate to see an old tractor go to scrap. They are kinda hard to find. My dad had an F20 and F30. He sold them. I wanted the F20 it was about the same shape as this tractor. Engine was stuck but all there. I'll look this week to see if I can find the serial number so I can see when it was made. I like this tractor. It is small and be easy to restore. I see ebay has some parts. I'm worried about engine parts mainly the block. Doesn't look craked. The radiator may be good. If not does anyone know where you can get a core? Steering wheel is cast and looks original. I have seen a discussion on steering wheels. This one doesn't have rubber. Seat might have to be replaced or repaired. It is rusted out. One of the brakes was stuck and broke when moved. I'll have to find new brakes and maybe a cover. I am pleased. I have seen a few webpages of these being restored. This one looks to be in great shape.

The serial number can also be found on the engine block on a flat spot near the fuel pump.If its the original engine it will be the same as the chassis number.
