implements for a Farmall H

I have a 1950 Farmall Model H with the drawbar only- no 3 point hitch. I have been told that 3 point hitch kits may not work well because of the small capacity of the Lift All. So I am wondering if there are implements (shredders, cutters, and tillers) that don't need a 3 point hitch- maybe ones that can use the Lift all directly.
Any ideas?

No problem with a 3 point, if you want to mount a loader, then the fluid capacity "may" come into question.

If the loader has 2 way cylinders it still won't be a problem. You may have to add more oil to the system after installing the loader, but once both sides of the cylinders are full of oil, the 6 quarts in the reservoir will be enough.

I put a 3pt hitch on my 48 H. It works great. I bought it from Saginaw - look them up on the web. I have used a boom, back blade, posthole digger, cultivator, and corn planter on this hitch. I think the Saginaw hitch is better than most OEM hitches. The pump never had a problem, and this hitch has 2 cylinders. Go for it!

There is all kinds of implements to fit what you have, but some are a little hard to find. As for mowers they are easy everyone makes trailing mowers that use what you got, with help of hydraulic cylinders.

Have you checked the pressure the pump has? If it is in good shape it sure will raise anything you can hook up. Now if you think you need down pressure you will have to add a two-way valve in the system. That will be an easy fix. Too bad you found bad advise.

Gene - I think he is talking about the fluid capacity of the lift-all reservoir not being enough to contain enough fluid to lift something high enough. However, I have a friend with a 194? M with a single cylinder 3-point, and that is not a problem. It might be a problem with two cylinders on a 3-point hitch? mike

Plenty fluid for two 3 inch cylinders.
